Training or Coaching ?

Training transfers the knowledge, coaching transforms the person

A combination of training and coaching is the ideal response.

Research in neuroscience and neuroimaging show that the neo-cortex part of the brain is stimulated during training by exposing the participant to short term concepts and ideas. During coaching, the open limbic brain system is used through appreciative inquiry and action-learning. The open-system function of the limbic brain has a longer lasting effect on emotions, attitudes and behavioral change.

The future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious. - John Scully
